Student - Software Engineer - Entrepreneur

Shane Austrie is a Computer Science major at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He's been working in the mobile technology industry since he was thirteen--giving him skills in operating system development and mobile app development, and when he's not programming, he's growing startups. He aims to better the lives of the socially, physically, and the economically disadvantaged through software and startups.

App Development

After his time in the mobile operating system development, Shane ventured onto app development. Shane has privately developed numerous Android apps, some as complex as Facebook's Android app, and has recently ventured into iOS app development. (Link to his works)

Shane ported the MIUI custom ROM to the Motorola Triumph android phone. It was used as the daily operating system for over five thousand Motorola Triumph phone owners. (Link)

Princely ROM

Before the Motorola Triumph was fully unlocked. Shane made and released a ROM to the public called: "Princely ROM." This ROM was based on the stock operating system that came with the Motorola Triumph. It included extra operating system features, speed improvements, battery life improvements, and several unique visual themes. Each variant of his Princely ROM received thousands of downloads. It was based on the stock operating system kernel that came with the phone, as well as multiple open source kernels. It, along with his MIUI ROM, was then ported by other developers of similar devices. (Link)
